It’s five months away from the start of the prep baseball season, but it’s never too early to shine a light on college diamond recruiting in the state of Michigan.

There are currently 28 players from the Class of 2013 that have already accepted Division I college scholarships.

Here’s an alphabetical breakdown;

Brett Adcock (LHP Bay City Western) Michigan One of the top lefties in the state who is fast-improving with his mechanics on the mound

Carmen Benedetti (1B Grosse Pointe South) Michigan – Heavy hitter at the dish, clubbing his way to a .520 batting average as a junior last spring

Walter Borkovich (RHP Traverse City West) Michigan State – Tall (6-6), hard-throwing right-hander who had a great summer and shot up the state’s recruiting charts

Colton Bradley (SS Richland Gull Lake) Central Michigan Consistent and clutch hitter with a sparkling glove at short

Jacob Britt (OF-RHP Tecumseh) Toledo Steady as they come whether on the mound, in the field or at the plate

Zach Olszewski (C Bay City John Glenn) Bethune Cookman – Technically-sound catcher with an underrated stick
