Beantown Baller Alert — Clarkston 2-Sport Stud Des Stephens Chooses BC For Football

When it comes to athletic versatility, primetime playmaking and high-character on and off the court or the field, it doesn’t get much better than Clarkston’s Des Stephens.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound football and basketball star committed to Boston College to play on the college gridiron. Stephens is an explosive and efficient wing guard on the hardwood, leading his Wolves club to a spot in the regional finals back in March. On the football field, his clutch play on both sides of the ball (secondary, wide receiver) on C-Town’s 2022 D1 final four team. Stephens’ racked up 100 tackles in the campaign, to go with 4 picks, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 forced fumbles splitting between cornerback and safety. From his split end position on offense, he scored 7 touchdowns. Coaches at BC view him as a big cornerback at the college level.

Purdue, Indiana, Louisville and Duke were his other Power 5 offers. Boston College competes out of the ACC. The Eagles offered Stephens in February. He visited BC’s Chestnut Hill campus last weekend.
