A Guy You Should Know About – EEV’s Washington Impresses With Arm, Savvy In PSL Arms Race

Don’t overlook Detroit East English Village senior quarterback Delvin Washington. He’s the No. 2 field general in the PSL behind Detroit Cass Tech’s Rodney Hall (Northern Illinois). The cagey 6-foot-4 signal caller led the Bulldogs to a Division 2 district title as a junior in 2015 with a 9-3 mark. I’d categorize him as a natural under center.
In my opinion, Washington has even more next-level upside than Hall does. In other words, we’ve only seen him scratch the surface on his reservoir of skills in dissecting defenses, picking apart opposing secondaries with intelligence, instinct and a velvety touch in the pocket. The best is yet to come.
Washington is mobile with a big, accurate arm. I for one can’t wait to see him devour the comp again this fall and bump his play up even another notch. Wherever he lands in college will be getting a hidden gem.
