A trio of golden arms highlight the Indiana Week 1 QB bulletin board

These three quarterbacks showed their names need to be in the discussion for best field general in the state with fiery Week 1 efforts:
Orin Edwards (Indianapolis Cathedral, 6-foot-1, 185-pound Sr.) — This dynamic dual threat out of the Circle City doesn’t get enough love in the recruiting game, but trust me he’s the REAL DEAL. He went 13-of-18 for 260 yards and two touchdowns in Cathedral’s 42–14 pounding of Noblesville.
Cole Gilley (Columbus East, 6-2, 200-pound Sr.) — He might be headed to play baseball in college at Indiana State, however make no mistake about it, he’s a Grade-A Gunner under center. Gilley goes SURGICAL on opposing secondaries like he’s starring on Grey’s Anatomy. In Week 1, he was 18-of-24 for 270 yards and three touchdowns in East’s 40-19 victory over Whiteland.
Luke Goode (Homestead, 6-6, 185-pound Jr.) — Probably the best two-sport athlete in the state, Goode is being recruited heavily on the basketball floor yet is just as fierce of a competitor on the football field chucking the pigskin. He tossed four touchdowns on 19 of 33 passing for 256 yards in his squad’s 43-6 throttling of Ft. Wayne Northrop.
