Basketball News & Notes – Line Talk W/Loyer, Bingham, Watts Catching Fire

Clarkston junior point guard and Michigan State-commit Foster Loyer was a perfect 43-43 from the free-throw line at an AAU tournament over last weekend. Loyer plays for All-Ohio Red and is fresh off the heels of leading his C-Town Wolfpack to a Class A state title back in March. His prowess at the charity stripe should be of no shock to anybody familiar with FOSTER THE PHENOM’s game. Last winter, he reeled off a state-record 119 straight free throws.
The hottest junior hoopster in state recruiting circles is Grand Rapids Catholic Central forward Marcus Bingham. The swift and strongly-skilled 6-foot-9 wing has received recent scholarship offers from Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Washington, Xavier, Butler and Duquesne. Bingham averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds per game in 2017.
The hottest sophomore hoopster in state recruiting circles is Detroit Old Redford Academy point guard Mark (Rocket) Watts. The heady and tenacious 6-foot-2 floor general just got offered by Alabama, Iowa, Missouri and Cincinnati. Watts filled the state sheet with 22 points, 10 dimes and nearly three swipes a night for charter school Old Redford.
The most intriguing Fab Frosh Burney has seen lately is Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 6-foot-7 forward Isaiah Jackson. This kid is ROUGH-RUGGED&RAW, has MAD HOPS and a SICK upside. Remember Burney told you first!!
