Burney’s Top 15 point guards in the MHSAA

Jalen Terry (Flint Beecher Jr.) — Just a Hurricane of HUSTLE & FLOW.

Tyson Acuff (Detroit Cass Tech Jr.) — Thoroughbred in the backcourt in a multitude of ways.

Drew Lowder (Ann Arbor Pioneer Sr.) — Signed with Holy Cross, Lowder is probably the best pure point guard in the state.

B. Artis White (Canton Sr.) — Signed with Western Michigan, White is straight CASH MONEY running an offense and a shake-and-bake specialist breaking down defenses.

Jaden Akins (Farmington Soph.) — Sicko Mode: Activated … watch out western Oakland County we’ve got an epidemic on our hands.

Julian Dozier (U-D Jesuit Sr.) — Back to do damage in The Mitten after a year away on the prep school circuit.

Jordan Whitford (Detroit King Sr.) — The quintessential Sir-Grind-A-Lot out of the backcourt, frontrunner for Mr. PSL.

Tariq Shepherd (Farmington Sr.) — Steady and smooth as they come quarterbacking an offense, one coldblooded customer when the game is on the line.

Zach Goodline (Coloma Sr.) — The best guard in the state that not enough people know about, the definition of a gritty competitor and fearless leader of men.

Joe Moon (Westland John Glenn Sr.) — Lives ITZ (In The Zone)!!!

Isaiah Lewis (Wayne Memorial Sr.) — Cooler than the other side of my pillow … any questions?

Simon Wheeler (Ferndale Soph.) — Approach with caution: Ready 2 EXPLODE!!

Austin Braun (Grand Rapids Catholic Central Jr.) — Signed with Grand Valley State, Braun is a bulldog of a floor general and the No. 1 point guard on the state’s westside. Can you say gutty playmaker?

DeAndre Carter (Muskegon Sr.) — Prototypical pace setter, this speedy Big Red Baller beats opponents by being equally slick and cagey with the rock in his hands.

Freddie McIntosh (Saginaw Jr.) — A SagNASTY Swag Nasty … ’Nuff Said!!
