Burney’s Top 10 Boys Basketball Centers In The MHSAA

1 Matt Nicholson (Clarkston Jr.) — The best big guy northern Oakland County has seen since Paul Davis, the best C-Town has seen since Tim McCormick.

 

2 Jalen Thomas (Detroit U-D Jesuit Sr.) — Signed with UMass, Thomas is a Grade A rim protector and swat specialist the likes of which the Catholic League hasn’t seen in quite a while.

 

3 Caleb Hodgson (Dansville Sr.) — Signed with Central Michigan, Hodgson plays with a ton of heart and has the most refined set of post moves in the state.

 

4 Luke Maranka (Home school Sr.) — The definition of a SUPERSONIC SLEEPER SPECIAL.

 

5 Nate Talbot (Lake Orion Sr.) — Signed with Wayne State, Talbot is a DI-level talent going the DII route.

 

6 Nolan Foster (Mattawan Sr.) — Giant upside, big-time motor, sizeable skill set with his back to the basket, colossal character … Any questions?

 

7 Marius Grazulis (Marquette Sr.) — Signed with Grand Valley State, Grazulis is a true Sir-Grind-A-Lot and the No. 1 big guy in northern Michigan.
