Closing The Deal At Calihan – Edison’s Carter Headed To The Hall

That’s MR. CARTER to you from now on! He’s part of the local cage elite you know? And a future Calihan Hall Titan hooper.
Detroit Edison basketball star Edward Carter, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, committed to the University of Detroit-Mercy this week. Carter is a gutty scorer and defender in the Class C charter-school ranks, known for a top-grade motor and high cage IQ. He’ll be an even more featured part of the Edison offense this upcoming winter with the departure of all-state sophomore floor general David DeJulius (transfer to the PSL and Detroit East English Village).
UD-Mercy was 15-18 in 2016. Titans’ alum and former University of Michigan assistant Bacari Alexander assumed the reins of the program last month. Alexander manned the post for UD-Mercy’s repeat NCAA Tourney teams in the late 1990s (1998-99) which pulled back-to-back first-round upsets.
