College Football Recruiting Ticker: Big Ten Bags Muskegon Lineman, King Split End

Three of the state’s top junior football recruits committed to colleges over the weekend, with two of those prospects linking up with the Big Ten. Muskegon offensive lineman Antwan Reed committed to Penn State and Detroit King wide receiver Erik Gibson is ready to Row The Boat at Minnesota, while Detroit East English Village cornerback Zhamaine March secured plans to go to Northern Illinois at the next level.
Reed (6-foot-7, 350 pounds) is a 4-star recruit and almost guaranteed to set the trenches in Happy Valley on fire when he reaches campus in 2018. He chose Penn State over other power conference bids from Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Minnesota and Indiana.
Gibson (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) is a true hidden gem at his position- mitts, wheels, work ethic. Quietly attaining 3-star status, he locked down offers from Team FLECK in the Twin Cities, Ball State, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
Just like Gibson, March (5-foot-9, 165 pounds) represents super value in the recruiting game. This tough-as-nails cover corner selected NIU over Iowa State, Syracuse, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Toledo.
