Day tripper – Destination: Columbus

Clarkston sophomore boys basketball star Foster Loyer took a trip over the border last weekend. Loyer, the Wolves’ fantastic point guard and a first-team Class A all-state selection as a fab frosh last season, visited Ohio State University over the weekend, attending the Buckeyes home football game against Northern Illinois.

This is a special talent of a floor general. That was evident by his effort in the state tournament back in March, where he led C-Town on a nice long jaunt into the Elite 8. His 65 points in the regional round of tourney play was simply astounding, breathtaking in every way possible. Look for Loyer to only become better the older he gets. Michigan State is one of his handful of DI college scholarship offers already. Do I smell Team Fife’s first-ever state crown creeping around the corner?
