DeJulius Jumps At Chance To Head To Ann Arbor, Will Hoop For UofM In College

One of the PSL’s top athletes shows cat-like quickness on the court and in the decision department.
It didn’t long for Detroit East English Village junior boys basketball star David DeJulius to accept the offer to become a member of the Maize and Blue fraternity in Ann Arbor. The 6-foot-1 floor general committed to the University of Michigan Thursday, less than a week removed from earning the bid from Wolverines head coach John Beilein on the heels of his 46-point performance in EEV’s win versus state-power Macomb Dakota last Saturday.
ESPN rates DeJulius a 4-star recruit, while Scout.com and 24/7 Sports list him as a 3-star prospect. He transferred to defending PSL-champ EEV in the summer from charter school Detroit Edison. In his first game with his new team, he dropped 33 points in a defeat of two-time defending Class C state-champion Flint Beecher. His only other power-conference offer came from DePaul.
