Field General’s Paradise: Gunning For Ford Field

Two of Metro Detroit’s premier prep football programs picked up new quarterbacks this past week, as Orchard Lake St. Mary’s has gained the services of 6-foot-5 sophomore Caden Prieskhorn and Walled Lake Western has welcomed junior John Tracey into the fold in WarriorLand.
Prieskhorn started last fall at Lake Orion, Tracey started most of the season at Birmingham Brother Rice. They each officially transferred this week.
Both will be major difference makers in the pocket with their new teams. Both will be playing pitch-and-catch with highly sought after DI college receiving prospects (K.J. Hamler for The Caden Express, and Cody White for “Johnny Football” Tracey). Both have a shot at quarterbacking their respective clubs to Ford Field come November. Both are outstanding fits for their new offenses.
ANY QUESTIONS? Nope, didn’t think so!!!
Two-time defending D3 state-champ St. Mary’s will probably be the best team in the whole state next season. Western returns lots of talent off a club that ran the table in the regular season and appeared in the D2 final four in 2015.
