Five For Fighting – Catch The Feeling

By: Scott Burnstein, September 2, 2015, 11:25 pm

Burney’s Top 5 WRs in the state of Michigan

1. Donnie Corley (Detroit King Sr.) – Primetime is the best way to describe this kid’s play, in other words the TOTAL package at the position, has his choice of elite colleges, does it all and is so so so pretty doing it, poetry in motion vertically stretching the field.

2. Donavan Peoples-Jones (Detroit Cass Tech Jr.) – The best overall receiver in the state in the junior class….dominant over the summer on the camp circuit, forget Wheaties, the DPJ  eats cornerbacks for breakfast.

3. Ambry Thomas (Detroit King Jr.) – Fastest-rising recruit in the state right now, the definition of diverse and dangerous, just scratching the service on his potential.

4. K.J. Hamler (OL St. Mary’s Jr.) – The best slot receiver in the state, bar none……YEAH, I SAID IT! Slick route-runner, slippery speed demon in space.

5. Dez Fitzpatrick (Waterford Mott Sr.) – Most technically-sound split end in the whole state, smartest, highest grid IQ wide receiver in the state, should probably be higher on this list.

*Michigan State WR-commit Trishton Jackson (West Bloomfield) isn’t listed because he plays quarterback in high school
