Football Recruiting Flash – Commitment Rush Continues In Metro Detroit

June has been busy on the state’s football recruiting trail. This last week saw a flurry of commitments from the Class pf 2018, two to power-conference programs.
Okay, let’s review:
Davion Williams (Belleville CB) – Committed to Michigan State…..Big, speedy, athletic cover corner with unreal natural feel for the defensive backfield and a hunger to further learn the nuances of the secondary so he can shine in East Lansing in the coming years. Basketball star who blew up on the pigskin recruiting scene in the spring and is just scratching the surface on his gridiron potential.
DeAndre Square (Detroit Cass Tech S/LB) – Committed to Kentucky…….Versatile playmaker, will excel at the vaunted “viper” position at the next level. Square is the second elite in-state recruit Kentucky has nabbed for its next recruiting class. The Wildcats bagged 4-star Oak Park offensive lineman Marquan McCall last month.
KMare Carey (Belleville CB) – Committed to Western Michigan…..Great value in the secondary, will, work ethic and Sir-Grind-A-Lot attitude and swag. We’re talking major-league upside!!!!
Bryce Veasley (West Bloomfield QB) – Committed to Bowling Green…..Formidable presence in the pocket, strong, accurate arm, fast-developing the kind of deft touch and on-the-fly improvisational talent when protection breaks down you need to shine in college. Last year, he racked up over 2,500 yards and 22 touchdowns through the air.
