Hatching In Ann Arbor Soon – UofM Snags QB Cruncher

By: Scott Burnstein, June 3, 2016, 12:56 am
Watch out Big Ten quarterbacks, Corey Malone-Hatcher is coming to town.

On Thursday, St. Joseph’s all-state junior football star, one of the top defensive ends in the Midwest, a pass-rushing prodigy with few equals, committed to theUniversity of Michigan. Malone-Hatcher (6-foot-4, 275 pounds) is a versatile talent and can also line up at linebacker. This kid has wheels and technique. When he gets a signal caller in his sights, it’s all over, he’s like a killer Great White shark that smells blood in the water at all times. His motor is running on every snap.  Can you say a Flawless Finisher?

A four-star prospect, Malone-Hatcher had 13 sacks as a sophomore and 16 as a junior last fall. Both seasons saw him eclipse the 65-tackle mark. Michigan got the nod over Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

St. Joe’s went 10-2 and captured a Division 3 district championship in 2015. At his announcement ceremony Thursday, Malone-Hatcher wore a necklace made out of dollar bills. Quite fitting, don’t you think? That’s what happens when you’re pure cash money on the gridiron.
