Hitting The Road – Gridders Explore College Options Out Of State

By: Scott Burnstein, October 17, 2016, 6:47 am
Checking in on the college football recruiting trail with a few of the state’s best pigskin prospects.
Some quick travel notes of the out-of-state variety:

Detroit Cass Tech senior WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, the No. 1 player in the state (Can you say 5-star stallion?) visited Ohio State last week.  His teammates in the defensive backfield at blue-chip factory CT, Kalon Gervin (cornerback), DeAndre Square (safety) and former Michigan-commit Jaylen Kelly-Powell (safety), were in Madison visiting Wisconsin this weekend together.

*Kelly-Powell will head down South to SabanLand and check out the campus at megawatt Alabama next weekend

*Last week, Gervin named West Virginia the frontrunner for his services at the next level
Flint Southwestern senior DE Deron Irving- Bey was singing Rocky Top this weekend at Tennessee on his visit to Knoxville.

West Bloomfield junior WR Taj Mustapha made a trip to the Hoosier State and visited Purdue last weekend.

Oak Park has a pair of Fab Frosh that you need to know about: lineman Justin Rogers and defensive back Enzo Jennings.
