Two of Michigan’s top sophomore boys basketball players will be in new uniforms this winter. Rising-star forward Isaiah Jackson is now at Old Redford and heating-up-in-a-hurry point guard Lorne Bowman is now at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. The 6-foot-7 Jackson played at Rochester Lutheran Northwest last season.

Bowman prepped in the PSL at Detroit Western in the 2016-2017 campaign. Considered a 4-star prospect, Jackson already has college scholarship offers from Marquette, Mississippi State and Southern Miss.

Detroit Cass Tech senior power forward Randy Gilbert has committed to Ferris State. Gilbert, 6-foot-7, is a rugged and athletic bruiser in the post and helped lead Cass Tech to a PSL title last year as a junior.

New Haven blue-chipper Romeo Weems was off to Colorado Springs recently to train with Team USA at their mini-camp earlier this month. Weems, a 6-foot-5 wing, guided his New Haven squad to a Class B state crown in 2017 and is ranked No. 37 in America in the Class of 2019 according to ESPN.
