Hoosiers grab another in-state star, getting commitment from Reitz’s Khristian Lander

Chalk up another win for Indiana University in the in-state recruiting war on the hardwood.
Evansville Reitz junior point guard Khristian Lander committed to Archie Miller and the Hoosiers Tuesday night, giving Miller one more impressive grab in a string of in-state commits over the past couple years. Lander (6-foot-2, 165) is a five-star floor general who might graduate early and enroll at IU in the fall. He’s still considering whether to stay for his senior season at Reitz, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN’s article on Lander’s commitment.
IU got the nod from a group of finalists including Michigan, Memphis and Louisville. Lander averages 20 points and four assists per night. His Reitz club is 15-6 this winter.
Miller has nailed down commitments from all-state shooting guards Anthony Leal (Bloomington South) and Trey Galloway (Culver Academy) in the Class of 2020. Last season, he bagged 2019 Mr. Basketball, Trayce Jackson-Davis (Center Grove), the son of retired Indiana Pacers forward Dale Davis. Two years ago, Miller won the services of McDonald’s All-American Romeo Langford (New Albany), currently playing in the NBA with the Boston Celtics.
