Note to all Michigan State football fans: 2016-commit Trishton Jackson (West Bloomfield) is getting in his snaps as a wideout. Sometimes he puts away his Cam Newton persona for a little Odell Beckham action.  Last Friday, he caught his second touchdown of the fall in WB’s 28-17 smackdown of Troy Athens to claim first-place bragging rights midseason in the OAA Red – he also threw for two more.

“Action” Jackson is an all-state quarterback headed to MSU as a pass-catching prodigy. In limited time showing his wears as a split end, this LakeNation Nasty picked up serious attention by the DI college scouts. On the heels of a red-hot Sound Mind, Sound Body camp effort back in June, Jackson committed to the Spartans.

Besides his sophomore season in 2013, Jackson has been West Bloomfield’s starting field general since he was a freshman. That one season playing receiver though was pretty impressive – he walked away with all-OAA honors before switching back behind center.

Now, make no mistake about it, in Burney’s opinion, Action Jackson could easily be a sensational qb in the Big 10 if fate had led him to the college ranks as a signal caller. But, he will no doubt be a bright, shining star as a wide receiver, see his 95 yard td grab two weeks ago!!
