Look North To Find A New Star – Brown Gets The Job Done Fall & Winter

By: Scott Burnstein, September 22, 2016, 9:00 am
Walled Lake Northern two-sport standout Spencer Brown is a man on the move……up the recruiting charts that is.

Brown is a 6-foot-6, 250-pound defensive lineman on the football field and a brawny and agile post presence on the basketball court. He’s started on Northern’s varsity in both sports since he was a fab frosh last year.

His future at the college level most likely lies on the gridiron. This kid is a natural going after the quarterback, plugging the run at the point of attack and chasing down ball carriers sideline to sideline. PURE INSTINCT. PURE POWER. We’re talking a rare package here.

Possessing excellent footwork, an aggressive, instinctive demeanor in the trenches and the true spirit of a warrior (not to mention the definition of coachable), Brown is beginning to attract major attention from the scouts. He’ll visit Michigan State this weekend and will be in attendance when the Spartans take on Wisconsin in their Big 10 opener.
