MICHIGAN FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK: EL’s Andrel Anthony narrows field to four; trio of studs pick up big-time offers

Two in state, two out-of-state. It’s down to a final four.
East Lansing senior wide receiver Andrel Anthony, a Mr. Football finalist in 2019, has narrowed down his college choices to a Top 4 late last month: Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State & Notre Dame.
Anthony (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) caught 54 passes for 975 yards and nine touchdowns last year. He’s also an all-state shooting guard on the basketball court.

Some big-time offers
Traverse City Central junior linebacker Josh Burnham (6-3, 205) was offered by Notre Dame and Alabama.
Wyoming Godwin Heights senior lineman Ru’Quan Buckley (6-6, 275) got offers from Florida State and Arkansas.
Grand Rapids Catholic Central junior safety Nolan Ziegler (6-4, 205) picked up an Iowa offer.

A trio of middle linebackers about to see a boost to their recruiting stock
Derek Draher (Ithaca 6-0, 220 Sr.) — Best MLB in the state you don’t know about but need to ASAP. Recorded a whopping 144 tackles and 5 sacks in 2019.
Blake Bailiff (Detroit King 6-0, 205 Jr.) — Simply a BOSS sideline to sideline.
Brayden Courser (Novi Detroit Catholic Central 6-1, 215 Soph.) — Checks all the boxes at the position, plays with a ton of poise and presence for his young age.
