MIDWEST RECRUITING: A trio of Metro Detroit senior safeties to know for 2019

By: , August 12, 2019, 11:06 am

Here are three senior safeties in Metro Detroit ready for big seasons on the prep gridiron:

Ralph Donaldson (Birmingham Groves) — Maybe the best natural instinct in the secondary of anybody in his league (OAA White). This 6-foot-0, 190-pound free safety is flawless with his fundamentals at the position and is always thinking two steps ahead of the game. Eastern Michigan gave him his first offer over the summer.

Ronnie Jackson (Belleville) — Pit bull of a competitor who has flown under the radar on a stacked Tigers club. Can run and hit on par with any safety in the state. Iowa State, Bowling Green, Ohio and Toledo have offered.

Josh Wiley (River Rouge) — The 6-foot-2, 195-pound ball hawk is versatile and can play either free or strong safety. He played his first three years of high school pigskin in the PSL at Detroit Cody. West Virginia, Western Michigan and Toledo have offered.
