MIDWEST RECRUITING: Burney’s 0-to-100 hustlers ‘Hot 5’ Metro Detroit running backs

DeAndre Bulley (River Rouge Jr.) — An exquisite blend of power and finesse, Bulley is a big, physical back who has wheels and can give defenses fits in the flat with his ability to catch the ball. He’s really starting to come into his own this fall and should see a significant increase in his college-recruiting profile in the offseason (he currently has offers from Boston College, Indiana and Syracuse).

Kendel Taylor (Madison Heights Bishop Foley Sr.) — The state’s leading rusher with 1,525 yards to go along with 22 touchdowns. This Navy-commit is a typhoon of terror carrying the rock and plays with a ton of heart.

David McDaniel (Garden City Sr.) — Joined the 1,000-yard club last week and has Garden City on the cusp of a rare playoff spot. GC’s “Run DMC” is the kind of player known for showing tenacity and savvy on every snap.

James Donaldson (Birmingham Brother Rice Sr.) — Might have saved the season for Orange Nation in Week 6 by rushing for 290 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-28 knockoff of Grand Ledge. The 290 yards for Donaldson (pictured above) were just 1 yard away from the tradition-steeped Brother Rice program’s single-game record.

Henry Brown (Warren Woods-Tower Jr.) — BEAST MODE 24/7…….ENOUGH SAID!!!
