Here’s a breakdown of the hottest junior football recruits in the MHSAA right now:

Peny Boone (Detroit King RB) — Perfect mix of speed and strength, a specimen of a power back, Michigan and Michigan State offered last week, he’s said to be leaning towards Tennessee.

Jordan Turner (Farmington LB) — Tenacious tackler, a total terror sideline-to-sideline; Michigan, Purdue, Washington State and Minnesota all recently offered.

Deondre Buford (Detroit King OL) — Burly workhorse at the point of attack, excellent footwork and technique, the prototypical pancake prince, LSU, Miami and Michigan all offered in the past three weeks.

Tommy Guajardo (Dearborn TE) — Gaining more traction on his recruiting by the second, gritty competitor with great hands and a relentless motor, N.C. St, Iowa State and Cincinnati are the most recent schools to offer.

Bryce Austin (Southfield A&T DE/LB) — Brimming with potential, was just beginning to find his stride as a playmaker at the end of the 2018 campaign (i.e. expect a huge senior campaign from him), coachable, fantastic natural instinct and fundamentals, Michigan State, Purdue, Minnesota and Boston College offered in January.

Earnest Sanders (Flint Beecher WR) — One of the top two-sport studs in the state, Kentucky and Iowa State just brought his first two power-conference pigskin offers to the table while he’s in the midst of destroying rims for Beecher’s hoop squad; a big-play specialist in everything he does.

C.J. Harris (West Bloomfield QB) and Sterling Miles (West Bloomfield DE) — Mid-major offers starting to stack for both of these lynchpin L-Boyz who have gigantic upsides at the next level and should see the high-majors enter the picture soon.
