MIDWEST RECRUITING: Burney’s look at the undervalued OLs in Michigan’s bumper 2019 crop
The state of Michigan has insane depth on the offensive line for the college football recruiting Class of 2019.

Everybody knows about Blue Chippers like East Kentwood’s Logan Brown (Wisconsin), Belleville’s Devontae Dobbs (Michigan State), Muskegon’s Anthony Bradford (LSU), Paw Paw’s Karsen Barnhart (Michigan) and Walled Lake Western’s Spencer Brown (Michigan State), but the Mitten’s senior class provides staggering bargains for scouts, too. I’m talking about value and upside unparalleled in the Midwest right now.
Here’s a list of uncommitted linemen in the Class of 2019 almost certain knock your socks off at the next level wherever they end up landing on Signing Day come February:
• Allen Jones (Detroit Cass Tech; 6-foot-5, 350 pounds) — The definition of a SUPERSONIC SLEEPER SPECIAL in the trenches, size, intelligence and a mega motor.
• Deshawn Ingram (Detroit King; 6-foot-5, 290 pounds) — All the right moves at the point of attack, relentless in his run blocking, nimble and nasty.
• Javion Preston (Detroit Denby; 6-foot-3, 310 pounds) — Just scratching the surface on his potential and that’s downright frightening, fearless competitor.
• Marquis Cooper (Muskegon; 6-foot-3, 320 pounds) — Question time: How does this kid not have a single DI offer yet? Can you say highway robbery for whoever snatches this west-side workhorse?
• Dorian Wesley (Woodhaven; 6-foot-5, 285 pounds) — A Downriver delight in every way.
• Broderick Jordan (Okemos; 6-foot-4, 285 pounds) — Maybe the best pure center in the class.
• Jake Dean (Walled Lake Western; 6-foot-7, 320 pounds) — Great footwork, crafty as can be, Dean (pictured above) is the type of kid you can call an astronaut ’cause his talent ceiling is on the moon.
