MIDWEST RECRUITING: Burney’s top five two-sport SUPER STUDS in the state of Michigan

1 Adam Berghorst (Zeeland East) — This Z-Boy will be rushing the passer on the gridiron and throwing heat from the mound at MSU next year…..I’m talking a BOSS in every way possible!!
2 Austin Brown (Madison Heights Madison) — Thera-A-Flue Special (aka TOTAL SICKNESS!!) whether slicing and dicing secondaries as a quarterback or striking out batters on the bump Brown will play both baseball and football at Marshall University.
3 Mike Fletcher (Flint Carman-Ainsworth) — Ready to infiltrate opposing backfields off the edge as a future MSU Spartan defensive end, but could have also played Division I hoops as a bully on the blocks who can get out and finish in the open floor on the fastbreak. Just a fearless competitor all around!!
4 Maliq Carr (Oak Park) — Being recruited by Division I colleges in football as a big-play wide receiver and in basketball as a brutishly efficient forward. Son of all-time great MHSAA girls hoopster Peggy Evans Carr (Miss Basketball in 1989 out of Birmingham Detroit Country Day) — the bloodline doesn’t lie….can you say PLAYMAKER?
5 Ryan Birney (Detroit Catholic Central) — The definition of an X-FACTOR at safety for the Shamrocks football team and a game-changing talent on the LAX field where he’ll play in college at University of Detroit-Mercy.
Name to watch out for: Rayvon Williamson (Detroit Community) — Razzle-Dazzle dynamo at quarterback and piercing through defenses on the hardwood.
