The West Bloomfield pipeline to Division I football continued on Sunday, with junior quarterback C.J. Harris making his commitment to Ohio University, announcing it with a post on Twitter.

Harris is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite, and had offers from Central Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Western Michigan, Cornell, Dartmouth and Columbia, in addition to the Bobcats.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound dual-threat quarterback threw for 2,380 yards and 22 touchdowns against just three interceptions, and ran for another 475 yards and four scores.

Ohio’s 2020 class already included three-star Nelsonville (Ohio) York athlete Keegan Wilburn, who committed in early March.

Bay City Central’s Devell Washington chooses WVU over Big Ten

Devell Washington, the big receiver from the Bay City Central Wolves, had plenty of big offers, but picked one from the Big 12, giving a verbal commitment to West Virginia after the Mountaineers’ spring game on Saturday.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound wideout is ranked as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and the 247Sports Composite, and had offers from Big Ten programs Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Purdue — which, along with WVU, made up his top five, announced last Tuesday — as well as Iowa State and Kentucky, and a handful of Mid-American Conference schools.

He joins Tallahassee (Fla.) Chiles quarterback Garrett Greene and Boyle County (Ky.) wideout Reese Smith in the Mountaineers’ 2020 recruiting class.

Washington caught 22 passes for 484 yards and seven scores in 2017, then had 23 catches for 237 yards and a TD as a junior in 2018, running for an additional 119 yards and two scores.
