Northern Exposure – The Kids Are Here To Stay

By: Scott Burnstein, December 11, 2015, 10:18 pm

The future is as bright as can be on the boys basketball court these days at Walled Lake Northern. Ronnie Thompson, the Knights’ rock-steady sideline general, has himself an enticing mix of underclassmen in his program.

Alright, let’s roll call it:

Andy Milliken (Super Soph) – Wonder on the wing who cut his teeth at the varsity level last year in ninth grade, skilled, smart, hungry

Troy Lattimore (Fab Frosh) – VERY intriguing prospect at the point, MAD SWAG at a very young age, nice handles, potentially deadly mid-range game, quick step and natural finishing instinct at the tin

Spencer Brown (Fab Frosh) – Broad-shouldered ‘BIG BABY B’ is an active and aggressive presence in the paint, high-energy type who plays with joy and purpose

Ethan Ancick (Super Soph) – This transfer from up north in Manton is a prototypical SIR-GRIND-A-LOT if I’ve ever seen one, fundamentally-sound stretch ‘4’ with a tantalizing upside

Jack McGuire (Fab Frosh) – Still on JV, but keep an eye out for this still-growing 6-foot-6 beanstalk in the years to come (he already has a 6-foot-11 wingspan!!)
