OAA BOYS BASKETBALL POWER RANKINGS: Backcourts, part 1

Here are the first part of Scott Burnstein’s power rankings of the backcourt players in the Oakland Activities Association:
Point Guard
1 Keegan Wasilk (Clarkston Soph.) — Rock steady is a vast understatement.
2 Ethan Emerzian (Troy Jr.) — Killer instinct, hard-nosed, a lot of heart, a lot of hustle.
3 Trevor Smith (Stoney Creek Jr.) — Star in the making, maybe the most underrated guard in the league.
4 Justus Clark (North Farmington Sr.) — The perfect pace setter, pure heart and intelligence.
5 Freddy Garland (Oak Park Sr.) — Run-and-gun style of floor general, loves to push tempo, loves to compete.
Combo Guard
1 Jaden Akins (Farmington Jr.) — So much sizzle to his game, it’s downright frightening. Top overall guard in the state’s junior class.
2 Fletcher Loyer (Clarkston Soph.) — Steel-sharpens-steel type out of the backcourt, the consummate playmaker.
3 Trey Lewis (Ferndale Soph.) — Typhoon of terror whenever he has the rock in his hands.
4 Devonte Edwards (Oak Park Sr.) — Dead-eye shooter, whether mid-range or long range, cagey scorer.
5 Arshad Walker (Berkley Jr.) — The definition of a difference maker in the open court.
