The state’s sophomore football recruiting class is deep, talented and teaming with next-level potential. Here’s a list of some lesser-known prospects on the verge of erupting and very possibly gaining their first respective power-conference offers in the near future.

Mariano Valenti (Birmingham Brother Rice QB) – They call him ‘The Magic Man’……ENOUGH SAID!!!

Spencer Brown (Walled Lake Western OL/DL) – The definition of strength, agility and superior footwork at the point of attack

Lew Nichols (Detroit Cass Tech RB) – Pure electricity with the rock in his hands

Tyrece Woods (Detroit King LB) – Speedy and smart on the outside, great natural instinct finding his way to the ball, GINORMOUS upside

Marvin Grant (Detroit King CB) – A cover corner’s cover corner, know what I mean?

Roderick Heard (Farmington Hills Harrison CB) – Total playmaker out of the defensive backfield with slick, sticky cover skills and mega swagger in the huddle

Maverick Hansen (Farmington Hills Harrison OL/DL) – The complete package on the line, high-motor, monster banging pads

Toriano Richardson (Oak Park CB) – Expect major things from this spry, ball hawk of a prized stallion in the secondary this fall
