The fall’s open recruiting period on the basketball court is underway. College scouts are descending on the area to mine the always-fertile Metro Detroit cage territory.

Greg Ebogboiden (Detroit U-D Jesuit Sr. C) – Rangy, aggressive and athletic, rare-form of rim protector, just got an offer from St. Bonaventure, has the wingspan of an octopus, tremendous upside
Gabe Brown (Belleville Jr. F) – One of the fastest-rising recruits in the state, southpaw inside-out assassin
Trevion Williams (Henry Ford Academy Jr. F) – THE fastest-recruit in the state, a MAN among boys in the paint and running the floor
Carl Bow & David Hearns (Hazel Park Jr. G) – Fire-and-Ice backcourt about to put VIKINGSNATION on the map the next two years in Class B
Zavon Godwin (Roseville Jr. G/F) – Don’t sleep on this Sir-Grind-A-Lot on the wing
