Package From The Peach State

For the second time this year, North Farmington High School has landed a high-profile boys basketball transfer. On Wednesday, Nate Brooks, a long-limed and athletic 6-foot-7 junior forward from Macon, Georgia, enrolled at North Farmington. WARNING: This kid dunks everything in his vicinity. You watch him compete and you see nothing but shimmering raw potential.
Brooks’ family moved to town last week from the Peach State – didn’t you hear the thundering of all those backboards in the OAA shaking in fearful anticipation? He was an honorable mention Mid Georgia All-Region pick as a sophomore last season. Back in January, college-recruited senior combo guard Billy Thomas, stepped foot down in RaidersNation mid school year after prep schooling it in the fall and starting in the backcourt on a Class A final-four club at Detroit U-D Jesuit.
Thomas only played a handful of games in a North Farmington uniform because of an MHSAA ruling that was delayed and barred from state tournament action. Brooks’ eligibility status is unknown. North Farmington went 20-4 in 2015 and won a district title.
