Pairings for 2019 MHSAA volleyball quarterfinals, semifinals and finals
The elite eight are set in each division, with one match separating the surviving teams from a trip to Battle Creek.
Tuesday’s quarterfinals will slim the list down to the final four in each division, but currently there are
The top three ranked teams remain in Division 1, along with defending champion Lake Orion.
In Division 2, last year’s title-game participants — No. 1 Grand Rapids Christian and No. 5 Pontiac Notre Dame Prep — are among five ranked teams remaining, representing five of the top six in the final MIVCA poll.
Five ranked teams remain in Division 3, as well, including No. 1 Schoolcraft and No. 2 Monroe St. Mary CC, but both of last year’s finalists are already out.
In Division 4, defending champ Mendon, ranked No. 1, is still alive, along with five other ranked squads. All four of last year’s semifinalists — Mendon, No. 5 Leland, No. 4 Southfield Christian and honorable mention Carney-Nadeau — are back in the quarterfinals.
