Red, White, Blue & Awesome – The Southfield Grid Collective

The newly-formed Southfield A&T football team (the merged squads of Southfield & Southfield-Lathup) is fixing to be quite formidable this fall. Southfield’s Tim Conley was recently named the A&T Warriors first head coach. A&T will sport red, blue and white colors and a collection of high-grade talent on both sides of the pigskin.
Alright, let’s roll call it:
Sam Johnson (quarterback) – Field general of the future TODAY (threw for over 1,500 yards and 20 tds as a fab frosh in 2015)
Eric (Red) McArn (tailback) – Makes his opponents see red…… as in blood
Brandon Gray (wide receiver) – Might be the best split end in the whole OAA…’NUFF SAID!!
Jay Hester (wide receiver) – Speedy deep threat and underneath specialist that will open things up for Gray even further and could be a breakout star for the Warriors’ diverse assault on offense
Erick Eldridge (offensive line) – Rough, rugged and raw road-grader that dominates at the point of attack
Cameron Tucker (offensive line) – Big and agile trench terror with a tremendous upside at the next level
Keith Poe (linebacker) – Fast, strong and smart sideline-to-sideline….any questions?
Lorenzo McCaskill (linebacker) – One of the hottest college prospects on the defensive side of the ball in the past few weeks, impressing scouts with his quicks, natural instinct and closing ability on tackles
*All but Hester and Poe played for Conley at Southfield last year
