Returning Just In The Nick Of Time – UDJ Cager Thomas Cleared To Play

By: Scott Burnstein, January 11, 2018, 12:00 am
Prep basketball star Jalen Thomas is back in the fold at Detroit U-D Jesuit. And it couldn’t come at a more opportune time either. The Cubs (5-2) are starting to get into the groove and reestablish their identity as a state power.
The 6-foot-10 Thomas, a highly-sought junior college recruit, was recently ruled eligible by the MHSAA after moving back from Las Vegas, where he had relocated with his mom back in November. He’ll be in uniform against Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Friday night and significantly aid the cause for the five-time defending Catholic League-champion Cubs in their quest for another crown this winter.
As a freshman, Thomas was on UDJ’s Class A state title club. He currently holds scholarship offers from Xavier, Buffalo, Detroit-Mercy, Kent State and Miami (OH).
