Shooting For The Stars – These Junior Cagers Can Stop & Pop

By: Scott Burnstein, May 19, 2017, 12:00 pm
Burney loves a great pure shooter on the basketball floor and the state’s Class of 2018 has its share of excellent long-range bombers. Here’s a list of some of the Mitten’s top outside marksmen to keep a watch for from beyond the arc next season.

Jason Dietz (Troy) – Dials it up from downtown with the best around, his shooting helped propel Troy into the Class A quarterfinals in 2017

Jack Ammerman (Ann Arbor Skyline) – Just a straight GUNNER in every way possible!!!……’NUFF SAID!!!

Tre Harvey (West Bloomfield) – The first name tells you all you need to know about this kid’s game on the hardwood

Quinn Blair (Dearborn Divine Child) – Possibly the most underrated star player in Metro Detroit (YEAH, I SAID IT!!)… rifles in 3s with precision and textbook form

Gabe Brown (Belleville) – A southpaw assassin destined for power-conference ball at the next level on the wing

Jake Boonyasith (Jenison) – Steph Curry-like range, lightning-quick trigger, ice in his veins….any questions?

Bryce Washington (Southfield Christian) – The No. 1 returning small-school player in the state knows how to make opponents pay on the perimeter, taxing his defenders with pristine efficiency.

Denver Cade (Buckley) – Has that “IT” factor written all over his game, especially when wheeling and dealing from deep

Tanner Reha (DeWitt) – Can you say LETHAL WEAPON?
