Slinging The Pigskin Down South – Muskegon Football Star Selects UCF

The Florida sun awaits one mighty versatile Westside wiz in the pocket.
Muskegon junior quarterback LaDarius Jefferson committed to the University of Central Floridaover the weekend. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound dual-threat signal caller split time under center last season with Virginia Tech early-enrollee Kalil Pimpleton on a 2016 Big Reds squad that advanced into the Division 3 state championship game. For this upcoming campaign, the job is all his and expect him to pile up the stats at a prodigious rate.
Jefferson chose UCF from a list of scholarship offers that also included Air Force, Navy, Tulane, Western Michigan, Ball State, Bowling Green, Kent State and Toledo. UCF is coached by former Heisman Trophy-finalist Scott Frost (Nebraska), who got to Knights Country last winter from a stint as the offensive-coordinator at high-powered Oregon and went 6-7 in his first year on the sidelines. The Knights compete out of the American Athletic Conference.
