CHECK THE NEW TREND: Many of the best boys basketball players in the state are opting to play their offseason hoops with out-of-state AAU teams.

Brandon Johns (East Lansing F) – Arguably the No. 1 player in the junior class is filling it up with the Indiana’s Indy Heat

Foster Loyer (Clarkston G) – Arguably the No. 1 point guard in the junior class is running the show for All-Ohio Red out of the Buckeye State in preparation for heading to the Big Ten and handling floor general duties at Michigan State in two years.

Taylor Currie (Clarkston C) – Maybe the top big fella in the sophomore class and Foster the Phenom’s prep teammate with the C-Town Wolfpack is also getting his offseason grind on for All-Ohio Red (16U).

Marcus Bingham (Grand Rapids Catholic Central F) – Probably the most intriguing prospect in the Class of 2018, Bingham is balling out this spring for the Indy Heat alongside Johns.

Jacob Polakovich (Grand Rapids Catholic Central F) – Playing with his regular season running buddy Bingham and superstar Johns on the Indy Heat will only strengthen this sleeping giant’s game.

Mason Pline (Fowler F) – Plying his trade in the Hoosier State this spring, Pline is putting in work for the Indy Grind.

Tray Jackson (Detroit Western F) – Long, smooth and sweet-stroking small forward that Burney is quite sure is wowing all the Hoosiers hoop fiends with his SIR-GRIND-A-LOT tendencies on the wing in his Indy Grind uniform.

Deante “Spider” Johnson (Detroit Edison F) – Slithering his way to monster rebounds and highlight-reel slam dunks, Motown’s Spiderman continues to sizzle with Northwest Ohio’s Mean Streets squad.
