STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: DE Latrell Thompkins set to ignite storm in PSL

With Latrell Thompkins in the mix leading the way for the Detroit Denby defense, the Tars will be a quarterback’s worst nightmare on the football field.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Thompkins might just end up being the best pass rusher in the PSL this fall. He’s committed to Toledo and started the season at tiny Detroit Delta Prep last year. Delta’s football season came to a premature conclusion when the school shuttered mid-campaign.
Can you say NyQuil Nasty? This kid is a true SUPERSONIC SLEEPER SPECIAL. Thompkins has all the tools to be a monster at the next level. His recruiting exploded in the offseason due to a string of head-turning combines and showcase-event outings. Besides Toledo, Kentucky and Cincinnati offered.
With the pigskin studs from Detroit King and Cass Tech getting the lion’s share of the pub in the PSL, diamond-in-the-ruff recruits at other programs often get overlooked. Luckily, that hasn’t been the case with Thompkins and his prospect status.
Think LONG, LEAN, MEAN AND READY ERUPT ON OPPOSING SIGNAL CALLERS LIKE A VOLCANO. Go to work, LT!!!
