STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: East Lansing’s Andrel Anthony commits to Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines swiped one out of the backyard of their rival on Friday, securing a commitment from East Lansing High wide receiver Andrel Anthony.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Anthony was rated a three-star recruit, ranked the No. 12 player in the state in the 2021 class by 247Sports, and the No. 85 wideout nationally. Anthony came in at No. 15 on the STATE CHAMPS! 300 list, regardless of class.
Anthony made the commitment live from the track at East Lansing’s Lynn C. Adams Stadium on several platforms.
Anthony chose Michigan from a total of 27 offers, including Michigan State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Oregon State, West Virginia, Wisconsin and others. Wearing a T-shirt adorned with “Dreams Come True,” he had hats from his final four teams, MSU, Penn State, Notre Dame and Michigan, arrayed on the table in front of him.
