STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Marshall’s Ezra McAllister commits to Vanderbilt

Marshall’s multi-dimensional Ezra McAllister has committed to Vanderbilt.
He made the announcement Tuesday with a video posted on his Twitter account.
A three-star prospect, 247Sports ranks the 6-foot, 175-pound McAllister as the No. 49 player in Michigan, and the No. 130 athlete in the nation. According to his Hudl bio, the slot back and strong safety runs a 4.45-second 40-yard dash, with a vertical jump of 40 inches, bench presses 230 pounds, and squats 405.
McAllister listed his top 10 in mid-May: Vanderbilt, Navy, Air Force, Harvard, Buffalo, Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, along with Eastern, Central and Western Michigan.
As a junior, McAllister caught 56 passes for 712 yards and 11 touchdowns, and had 1,217 all-purpose yards, earning all-state honors.
On the defensive side of the ball, McAllister had seven sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss, 43 total tackles, four forced fumbles and one interception.
McAllister and Marshall went 6-5 last year, making the playoffs for the first time since 2015, and just the third time since 2009.
