STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Plenty of Michigan representation on ESPNW top 100 for class of 2021
There was plenty of representation from the Mitten on the ESPNW top 100 in the Class of 2021 when it was recently updated, with four Michigan players earning five-star rankings, and five ranking in the top 100.
Five-star rankings went to Detroit Edison’s Damiya Hagemann at No. 19, Adrian Lenawee Christian’s Bree Salenbien at 32, Hamilton’s A.J. Ediger at No. 47 and Kalamazoo Central’s Morasha Wiggins at No. 50. East Grand Rapids’ Jillian Brown — who recently got her fourth star, and earlier committed to Northwestern — is at No. 82.
Three of the five — Salenbien, Hagemann and Brown — made our list of finalists for the STATE CHAMPS! All-Junior Team, while four of the five — Brown, Ediger, Hagemann and Salenbien were named to the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan’s Best of the Best list, numbered among the top 16 players in the state, regardless of division or class.
