STATE CHAMPS! SCOUT TEAM: Ready to erupt — Indiana hoopsters headed skyward (classes of 2021-23)

By: , June 22, 2020, 12:00 pm

A dozen Hoosierland boys basketball prospects about to blow up on the recruiting trail this summer:

Xavier Booker (Indianapolis Cathedral 6-8 F 2023) — The next big thing out of the post in the Circle City.

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (McCutcheon 6-0 G 2023) — Electric playmaker at the point.

Langdon Hatton (North Harrison 6-9 F 2021) — Everything you can want in a stretch-4 recruit: great footwork, soft touch around the rim and outside.

D.J. Hughes (Lawrence North 6-7 F 2021) — Coming into his own as a force in the frontcourt, makes the most of his touches, efficient and hard-working.

J.J. Louden (Indianapolis Pike 6-5 G/F 2022) — Maybe the most underrated gunner in his grade, pure pick-your-poison type.

Blake Sisley (Heritage Hills 6-8 F 2021) — Dripping with finesse, a lot of mad flavor to his game.

Billy Smith (Brebeuf Jesuit 6-5 G 2022) — Just starting to scratch the surface on his potential and that’s downright scary. Slasher who plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Pete Suder (Carmel 6-2 G 2022) — Maybe the most underrated shooter in the Indy area, gets the job done whenever he’s called upon.

Will Lovings-Watts (Jeffersonville 6-4 G 2022) — Super smooth and aggressive, iron-sharpens-iron type.

Jalen Washington (Gary Westside 6-8 F 2022) — Hottest recruit in the state right now after missing his sophomore campaign with an injury. A very special talent out of the frontcourt.

Charlie Williams (Carmel 6-9 F/C 2022) — Incredibly intriguing prospect teaming with upside and intangibles.

Leland Walker (North Central 6-0 G 2022) — Nails tough with a sweet stroke, high hoop IQ and finishing factor.
