Burney’s Top 30 Small-School QBs In The MHSAA (D5-D8)

1 Alex Thole (Schoolcraft 6-foot-0, 175, 2021) — Makes boss plays under center, threw for 3,050 yards and 38 touchdowns last year.

2 Drew Collins (Montague 6-3, 195, 2021) — The TRUTH … ’nuff said.

3 Bryson Huckeby (Freeland 6-4, 190, 2022) — THER-A-FLU like upside, in other words complete and utter sicknesss…will have a ginormous next two years in the stat sheet.

4 David Williams (Dearborn Heights Robichaud 6-1, 175, 2022) — Maybe the most underrated quarterback in the whole state regardless of class size.

5 Brady Hessbrook (Ithaca 6-0, 185, 2021) — The total package of a fearless field general. Check the stats: 1,150 yards, 11 touchdowns passing, 1,050 yards, 12 touchdowns rushing. Can you say balanced attack?

6 Dylan Terryberry (Onsted 6-5, 210, 2021) — Pure dynamite in the pocket, wayyyy too overlooked for what he brings to the table.

7 Elijah Grainger (Detroit Central 6-0, 175, 2021) — Electricity personified at the position.

8 Brandon Grimes (Detroit Denby 5-10, 180, 2022) — Shake and bake special, tough as nails.

9 Anthony Garrett (Detroit Loyola 6-3, 220, 2022) — Should be dominating the Catholic League soon.

10 Noah Beaudrie (Erie-Mason 6-0, 190, 2021) — Under-the-radar thunder and lightning type under center, threw for 1,620 yards, rushed for 1,425 rushing and found the end zone 37 times in 2019.

11 Carson Farley (Grass Lake 5-9, 175, 2021) — Quite the dandy of a dime dropper. Accounted for 2,300 yards and 25 touchdowns through the air last season.
