Staying Close To Home, About To Be A Star….Again

His coach played for TEAM PLEASANT at Rochester College, now he will too. Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes all-state boys basketballer Andrew Klein, maybe the best small-school player in the state the past two years (back-to-back Class D final fours anyone?) signed with Rochester College this week.
He’ll be a star there GUARANTEED!!! This kid is a DI-DII talent no doubt in my mind.
Klein is a 6-foot-4 guard with ALL THE RIGHT MOVES (Tom Cruise anyone?). Intelligence, instinct, athleticism, PRIMETIME FLAVA, Mad Handles and court vision, work ethic, velvety-shooting touch from deep, killer mid-range attack, finishing ability at the rack, coachability, craftiness….in other words: THE TOTAL PACKAGE.
Rochester College went 24-7 in 2016. WOLL fell in the state championship last month.
Klein’s coach, Paul Robak (Yeah, of THE Robak family, the first family of Waterford hoops for decades) played at Rochester College in the mid-to-late 1990s when it was Michigan Christian. Back then TEAM PLEASANT was guided by the legendary Garth Pleasant. These days, Rochester College is coached by Garth’s oldest son Klint.
