Technically Speaking – Va. Tech Seeing Red

By: Scott Burnstein, May 12, 2016, 5:19 am
Talk about value.

Virginia Tech swooped in and snared a commitment from Muskegon junior football star Kalil Pimpleton over the weekend. This kid should have Sleeper Stud tattooed on his forearm – a two-star recruit that could easily be a 3-star prospect. He’s a Thrill-A-Minute type, you know, simply put, a game changer no matter where he lines up on the gridiron. Believe me ACC Country, you’re going to fall in love with my man KP!!

The 5-foot-8, 160-pounder is Muskegon’s starting quarterback, but will go to HokieLand as a wide receiver in 2017. He’s the ninth grab of VaTech’s recruiting classnext year.

Last fall under center for the Big Red, Pimpleton was a force of nature, eclipsing the 1,000 yard marker through the air and on the ground, scoring 27 touchdowns while taking his club to a 9-3 record and a district title. Pure electricity every snap and we’ll see lots more in just a few short months.

VaTech landed Saline all-state quarterback Josh Jackson for its’ incoming recruiting class, locking up the slick 6-foot-2 dual-threat signal-caller back last summer on the heels of Jackson spearheading a Saline run into the state finals.
