Tenth-Grade Baller Tribune – Defensively Speaking

By: Scott Burnstein, February 22, 2016, 2:17 pm

Here are a handful of sophomore prospects (Class of 2018) on the prep football field Burney wants everyone to keep an eye out for – We’re talking defense, people!!

DeAndre Square (Detroit Cass Tech LB) – This kid has SICK potential sideline-to-sideline, Can you say future THER-A-FLU SPECIAL?

Ovie Oghoufo (FH Harrison LB) – Very intelligent, athletic and fundamentally-sound, quicks and technique is a pretty enticing combo for scouts

Robert Daniel (Oak Park CB) – A young man with lockdown written all over him, has all the tools to be a fierce and fine primetime corner in the OAA

Kolin Demens (Birmingham DCD LB) – Does the last name sound familiar? Yeah, that’s what we’re dealing with here, NFL-pedigree at the linebacker position. Looking eerily reminiscent of big bro Kenny, snagged a Nebraska offer this week. Can hoop, too – recently hit a game-winning 3 to beat traditional rival Orchard Lake St. Mary’s on the basketball court

Reggie Pearson (River Rouge S) – Playmaking instinct oozes out of this secondary stud, finesse and power as well, a scary combination
