The Fife File: Best of the best Fife ballers

With the news coming out of the retirement of Clarkston boys basketball coach Dan Fife after 36 seasons, here’s a look at the best players to don the Wolves uniform under his tutelage.

 

The All-Dan Fife Team (1982-2018) —  The Top Hoopsters Of The Fife Era

Foster Loyer (Class of 2018) —  The perfect point guard (Mr. Basketball, two Class A state titles)

Dugan Fife (Class of 1992) —  The quintessential gunner (Runner-up in Mr. Basketball race, four league and district crowns apiece)

Dane Fife (Class of 1998) —  As versatile as he was venomous (Mr. Basketball, McDonald’s All-American, three regional championships)

Matt Kamieniecki (Class of 2010) —  Long, lean and mean (three regional titles, Class A final four appearance)

Chris Johnston (Class of 2004) —  Serious competitor, fearless (two league crowns, two regional titles)

Brad Goodman (Class of 2005) —  Straight assassin on the hardwood (three league crowns, two regional titles)

Eddie Whitaker (Class of 1986) —  Fife’s first true star (league and district titles)

Tim Wasilk (Class of 1996) —  Everything you want in a two-guard and leader (four league crowns, two regional titles)

Dylan Alderson (Class of 2017) —  Most successful transfer of the Fife era, co-piloted the C-Town Cage crew to the promise land (state champion)

Robbie Clark (Class of 2005) —  Rip it and grip it type, heart of a champion (three league crowns, two regional titles)

Brandon Pokley (Class of 2009) —  Best pure shooter the program ever had Pt. 1 (three regional titles, Class A final four appearance)

Nick Tatu (Class of 2012) —  Best pure shooter the program ever had Pt. 2 (four league crowns and a district title)
