To The Hoop Gods Davison Gives Thanks – Armstrong Returns To Mitten For Sophomore Year

Davison got a gift in the days before practice tipped-off for the 2017 boys basketball campaign when nationally-ranked Class of 2019 backcourt prospect Terry Armstrong landed at the Cardinals’ doorstep.

A blazing-fast and ultra-crafty combo guard, Armstrong played at Flint Carman-Ainsworth last winter, earning all-state honors as a fab frosh by averaging 16 points, 5 boards, 4 dimes and 3 swipes per game, before leaving for Georgia’s Wheeler High School back in the summer. ESPN ranks him to No. 18 player overall in the country’s sophomore crop. He currently holds scholarship offers from UNLV, Ole’ Miss and Southern Mississippi.

Armstrong left Wheeler in October and enrolled at Davison earlier this month. It’s unknown how soon until he’ll be eligible to suit up for Davison which competes in the Saginaw Valley League.
Taylor McCaskill, another backcourt prospect in the state (Class of 2018), is back at Troy Athens after spending the first portion of first semester at Detroit Edison. McCaskill played his freshman and sophomore seasons for Dave Scott at Athens.
