United We Stand: Motown Prep Pigskinners Pile Awards At Windy City Showcase

The prep football talent from Metro Detroit SHOWED OUT at the United Stars Showcase camp in Chicago, going a long way to boost the college recruiting stock for the five position MVPs that spawned from the Motor City grid scene.
Alright let’s roll call this….MVP style:
John Paddock (Bloomfield Hills QB) – This laser-focused and strong-armed 6-foot-2 signal caller is one of the Mitten’s fastest-rising recruits on the offensive side of the ball. Bringing home QB MVP honors to BlackHawkVille is just another feather in his cap, after throwing for 1200 yards and 20 touchdowns and leading Bloomfield Hills to an undefeated regular season and league title in 2016 as a junior.
Lew Nichols (Detroit Cass Tech RB) – So sweet carrying the rock he gives opponents toothaches just thinking about him. Transferred to Cass Tech from Southfield, where he made a name for himself in the state’s recruiting game as a sophomore last fall.
Tyrone Sampson (Detroit East English Village OL) – “Big Daddy Sam” repeated as O-Line MVP at the annual Chitown showcase………tireless at the point of attack, outstanding footwork and technique.
Desjuan Johnson (Detroit East English Village DL) – Under-the-radar SUPER STUD coming off the edge, raw power, speed and athleticism wherever he lines up, versatile prospect who can also do damage at outside linebacker. Tremendous value in the state’s Class of 2018.
Ky’ren Cunningham (Orchard Lake St. Mary’s LB) – Complete workhorse sideline-to-sideline, has wheels, smarts and killer closing ability on wrap-ups. Collects state-championship rings like some people stack social media followers, the definition of a WINNER!
